I have been collecting reborn baby dolls since I first saw one online in 2006. An avid doll-lover for as long as I can remember, I was instantly fascinated by these life-like creations. My learning curve was pretty steep as I began collecting my "babies". Sometimes I was lucky and sometimes I wasn't! As my eye for the details that result in a truly realistic doll developed, so did my ability to judge whether a given artist could incorporate all of the necessary skills into the creation of their art. The reborn doll is not just a pretty face! One must know where to purchase the many items required to create a quality, long-lasting doll; understand the techniques used for proper placement of the eyes and for the rooting of hair; and finally, how to weight and stuff the body so the doll feels so much like a real baby! These are the attributes I seek when searching for a new reborn addition to my own household. My home is currently overflowing with reborn baby love.
