This is Realborn baby Kimberly created from images of a real baby using 3D printing and scanning technology. She was painted with Genesis Heat Set paint and has a fair complexion with rosy cheeks and lovely shading. I took pictures at different times, so there is some variation in her skin tone. She is fair with some pink undertones and rosy cheeks. She has shading and detailing. Her hair is painted in a deep golden brown and she has rooted mohair lashes sealed inside. She has matte varnish to protect her paint, so her head does have a textured feel- which is typical for matte varnish. I applied a subtle gloss in areas that are moist such as the lips, inner ear, and inside her nose.
Kimberly is a cuddle baby. This means she has a vinyl head, but the limbs and torso are cloth. I purchased a professionally made cuddle body. The limbs are weighted with poly-pellets and poly-fil so that she can be posed. She has a pouch of glass beads and poly fill inside her head and torso. She is a bit floppy especially her head and it will need support like a real newborn. She weighs about 4 pounds and is around 19 inches long with bent knees.
I am sending her home in the sleep and playsuit which comes with a matching hat. I am also including the vintage 1920’s mittens. They are adorable and in lovely shape. She fits in 0-3 months best with most brands of clothing. What I like about her is that she is cuddly, possibly a good therapy baby, and cuter than a weighted blanket!
I have fitted her with a magnet so she can take a pacifier. Please be careful, this magnet should not be near sensitive electronic medical devices like a pacemaker.
