Alma has been painted using premium air dry paints, and sealed with the recommended air dry varnish. I have given her prisma pencil eyebrows, that are barely there and have opted for no lashes, as I prefer this look on an open eyed newborn. She has been directionally rooted with high quality custom black mohair. I have given her “my version” of combi hair, which is directionally rooted and applied (glued in place) everywhere but the top which has been left un applied for styling. She also has some curls around the base of her ears that can be styled. This technique offers the ease that painted hair gives but with the realism of actual hair. With anything, you must still handle head with caution to ensure that it doesn’t come undone. She has veins, mottling,, and tiny details to make her look just like a real baby! Her body is stuffed with soft polyfil, and weighted with glass beads. She is a solid baby with some weight to her. Her head will need support like a real newborn would. Alma’s nose has been opened and backed with felt for more realism. She has flat back glass eyes in the color Antique Gray. She is very floppy. She has some imperfections in her painting on her left ear which is not very noticeable, a small area on a limb, and a couple of specks in her vinyl due to the manufacturing of the company. I have taken this into consideration in her pricing .
