🦋Stephen is a platinum very soft Silicone kit from Bountiful Babies. Listed as a boo-boo baby so a great way to have a cute silicone doll at a VERY . He is a great deal for somebody that wants the cuddly feel a silicone and doesn’t mind some flaws. This will be the only Doll I have at this price. Stephen is the first silicone that I have made so has more flaws than I prefer but reflected in a . Once I can make the dolls with less flaws, the prices on my silicone will be closer to $1000 - $1200. Silicone is much more difficult to paint than vinyl dolls, It’s hard not to have flaws. I have silicone dolls in my own collection from some extremely wonderful artists and they definitely have their share of the blemishes and imperfections! Because this baby has several boo-boos, I am just listing at a price to recover some cost of the materials.
I opened Stephen’s mouth so he can fit a real pacifier ( Silicone nipple only ) , but if you look inside the mouth it definitely is not pretty, but it does not need to be as you don’t see inside his mouth. I felt being able to use a pacifier would be preferred! There is no tongue or gums as some open mouth Silicone dolls have them. Beautiful mottled skin, veins , baby blemishes and his complexion turned out very natural looking! Micro rooted lashes and sparse ( a bit unruly) brows that look newborn flakey ( cradle cap) . There are many bumpy areas over his body from being new to painting silicone and not thinning paint enough before matting, however it looks like newborn baby bumps to me and I think (accidentally) adds to the realism! His left leg has a dime size boo-boo and some loose looking “skin” ( NOT to be Peeled off!) but I made to look like a baby blemish . I tried to take this baby picture in different lightings show close-ups where I can so you can see the blemishes. Though he has his share of boo boos, he’s a very beautiful, extremely cuddly doll to be enjoyed.
