Madelyn was created from the beautiful Softline kit Madelyn by the very talented sculptor Bonnie Sieben. A Softline kit is a much softer vinyl than traditional vinyl kits. Her head, arms,legs and torso are all made of this soft vinyl. It is not silicone but is kind of squishy like silicone kits are. This kit does not have a cloth body at all and the arms, legs and head are all connected with elastic connectors inside the body. The arms, legs and head all move freely. Please hold the head when picking her up as her head will flop back ways or sideways. She needs to be handled like a real newborn baby and is not intended for children. These dolls are delicate and are best used for display. With these kits being ball jointed it’s vinyl rubbing on vinyl and being a rubbery vinyl it is not a guarantee that paint will not be rubbed off some. These kits sometimes do not hold paint as well as typical vinyl kits. Madelyn is 5 pounds and 19 inches long from head to toe. . Layers and layers of Air dry paint was used to create this amazing living skin tone and sealed for protection. Not a crease was over looked. Her ball jointed limbs are filled with glass beads, poly pellets and fresh fiberfill. The body and head are filled with the the same mixture. I have weighted her to be floppy like a real baby. No sand is used in my babies so they are safe to travel to other countries. Her finger nails and toe nails have been given that fresh clipped look and sealed to prevet chipping.. Her lips and mouth have been glossed to give a natural moist look. Her veins have been applied to appear under the skin for ultimate realism. I have painted Madelyn to resemble a newborn baby. She has texture on her fingers so as to give fingers a more red blotchy/ wrinkles look. I have given her marks and blotchy skin in different places. She has a rashy birthmark on her forehead. I have painted her belly button to look like it still has the umbilical stump still attached. The umbilical cord in one of the pictures is not included, it is part of my photo shoot items. Madelyn has baby powder scented wafers in her body that gives that wonderful fresh scent that all new mommies love.Her hair has been rooted with premium mohair from delta dawn with a very small needle . This takes many hours to do but the realism it creates is well worth it. Her hair can be lightly moistened to style. Do not wet completely as this can damage paint. I have rooted it to be thin in places as babies hair many times gets rubbed off in places. Her eyebrows were hand painted on one lash at a time. The eyelashes Are hand applied to match her hair .All of my pictures were taken in natural daylight and none of my pictures have been altered except for cropping so you can see what baby actually looks like. If this little sweetie has stolen your heart don't let her get away because this sweetie is a one of a kind work of art and there will never be another one exactly like her. Madelyn will come home with only the items listed here and any items in pictures not listed here were used as my photo props and not part of her sale. Madelyn will come home with her three piece bathing suit and pink butterfly hair clip. It is blue and white striped with flowers. It has bottoms, a top and a matching hat. This item is big on her but looks great for posing her laying down. She will come home with her mermaid scale tank onesie and her purple headband. She will also have her three piece outfit with the flowered shirt, pink and white stripped pants with a reversible matching hat. She will have her white socks and black magnetic hair bow. She will have a diaper, pink modified pacifier, baby bottle, a birth certificate, and a care instruction sheet. I believe in supporting my local second hand shops so all items may not be brand new but all were picked out just for her. Madelyn has a magnet in her head for magnetic hair bows but not by her mouth as she can take a cut modified pacifier. Care must be taken around electronics, pacemakers, pets and children as there are very strong earth magnets.
