Hello our Groovy Doll friends. I want to introduce to you a very special Realborn. Meet David. This precious little one started out as a blank realborn kit called Callie that we have transformed into this beautiful little guy. I recently lost my dad to a long and courageous battle with cancer. My dad was my cheerleader. As a matter of fact, he was the one that stood behind me when I first thought of starting the reborning venture. It was he who told me, "I know you can do this!" A few weeks ago, I sat at his table and I asked him if he remembered telling me that?.. His reply was... "I still think you can do it!" I am affectionately naming this little one David, after my dad... as it was this little guy I was working on when I asked him if he remembered that. I think he favors my dad as a baby very much! David is so sweet and cuddly. He has been painted with many varying layers of Genesis heatset paints and Reborn FX airdry paints. He has been given realistic details such as petichia, capillaries, a little scratch on his head, tipped and sealed finger and toenails.. etc. His beautiful hair has been stategically hand painted in varying shades of browns. It has been topped with a texture medium and given a sheen. The result is a head of hair that looks very realistic and will last forever. He will come shipped in the onsie he is pictured in. He will also come with a birth certificate, Realborn certificate, diaper, care instructions, magnetic Honey Bug paci, and a hospital receiving blanket.
