All pictures where taken by a window in natural lighting during the day, so please be aware that the colors you see may differ on the actual doll in real life. With that being said, the doll may appear red on some devices but it is really not, different devices and computers screens may vary and show different colors than others.
The Beginning Process:
Timothy was made from the "Gena" kit sculpted by Donna Rubert. Timothy was given a warm gentle bath to remove the residue and oils from his kit before the process of bringing him to life and giving him his own sweet personality. Timothy is a high-end quality collector's item and a piece of artwork; care should be taken when handled by young children.
Baby's Skin: Timothy was painted in many layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints of mottling, veining, creasing, and blushing, paints to achieve a young newborn baby skin tone. He has been sealed and textured twice with layers of Genesis Heat Set "Thinning Medium" to give extra protection to his paint from rubbing off or fading overtime.
Baby's Hair: I spent hours rooting Nathan's hair each strand at a time by hand. I rooted his hair with a high quality dark brown colored mohair from Susan Nagel. His hair is rooted in a natural growth pattern to form his swirl on the crown of his head so that it lays in certain direction like a newborn baby's hair growth pattern. His hair has been sealed with a waterproof glue to prevent his hair from falling out and to allow it to be gently styled and washed.
Baby's Body: Timothy has 3/4 arms and legs. He is weighted only with glass beads, polyfil, and plastic pellets which makes him feel a like a real live newborn baby. The plastic pellets are only inside his arms. His body does NOT contain any sand at all nor does any of my other reborn babies. Timothy wears newborn size clothes. Timothy has a floppy head. With that being said, you will have to support his head as you would a real newborn baby's head. All of my babies come from a safe, smoke, and pet free home.
Baby's Nails: I have applied gloss to Timothy nails and tipped them off with white paint to give them a natural realistic look!
Baby's Lips: I have applied gloss on Timothy's lips and inside of his slightly open mouth. I also gave the inner part of his lips a white color to resemble newborn milk blister. I gave his nose a moist look to achieve a natural appearance. His nose has been shaded for depth and realism.
Timothy eyebrows have been drawn on using a dark brown prisma color pencil. He has rooted eyelashes.
Timothy also has a scratch on right side of his face to resemble how newborn babies often scratch their selves. I made his scratch so realistic to the point that you can slightly feel it when you rub your finger against it.
Magnets: Timothy contains a magnet in his head for a magnetic pacifier. Caution should be taken around electronics and people with pacemakers.
