All pictures where taken by a window in natural lighting during the day, so please be aware that the colors you see may differ on the actual doll in real life. With that being said, the doll may appear red on some devices but it is really not, different devices and computers screens may vary and show different colors than others.
The Beginning Process:
Aubrey was made from the realborn "Jade" kit from "Bountiful Baby". Aubrey was given a warm gentle bath to remove the residue and oils from her kit before the process of bringing her to life and giving her own sweet personality. Aubrey is a high-end quality collector's item and a piece of artwork; care should be taken when handled by young children.
Baby's Skin: Aubrey was painted in many layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints of mottling, veining, creasing, and blushing, paints to achieve a young newborn baby skin tone. She has been sealed and textured twice with layers of Genesis Heat Set "Thinning Medium" to give extra protection to her paint from rubbing off or fading overtime.
Baby's Hair: I spent hours rooting Aubrey's hair each strand at a time by hand. I rooted her hair with high quality dark brown colored mohair from Susan Nagel. She also has rooted eyelashes. Her hair is rooted in a natural growth pattern to form her swirl on the crown of her head so that it lays in certain direction like a newborn baby's hair growth pattern. Aubrey's hair and eyelashes has been sealed with a waterproof glue to prevent her hair from falling out and to allow it to be gently styled and washed.
Baby's Body: Aubrey has full arms and legs. She is weighted only with glass beads, polyfil, and plastic pellets which makes her feel a like a real live newborn baby. The plastic pellets are only inside her arms. Her body does NOT contain any sand at all nor does any of my other reborn babies. Aubrey wears newborn size clothes. Aubrey has a floppy like a real newborn. With that being said, you will have to support her head as you would with a real newborn baby. All of my babies come from a safe, smoke, and pet free home.
Baby's Nails: I have applied gloss to Aubrey's nails and tipped them off with white paint to give them a natural realistic look!
Baby's Lips: I have applied gloss on Aubrey's lips and inside of her nose for a moist look to achieve a natural appearance. I also gave the inner part of her lips a white color to resemble newborn milk blister. Her nose has been shaded for depth and realism.
Aubrey's eyebrows have been drawn on using a dark brown prisma color pencil. She also has a soft spot on her head for realism.
Magnets: Aubrey contains a magnet in her head for a magnetic pacifier. Caution should be taken around electronics and people with pacemakers.
