The baby Head gets painted and matted. The Head then gets sent back to you and you assemble on your own favorite cuddle body.

If you allow a child to play with this doll, you take full responsibility. These delicate babies are hand painted and are weighted so they must be handled with care.
Silicone babies- these precious babies are hand poured which means they May have imperfections. All babies come matted which removes the shine but matting is not meant to be permanent. The more you play/change/cuddle your baby, the sooner it will need rematted. Daily dry matting will help with daily shine.
