This little beauty is so precious and very soft and posable. She is 15 inches and 3 pounds, and she has full body armatures so she can be posed in so many positions. She has a tiny tongue and gums. She is such an adorable life-like preemie! I am her original artist and I had intended to keep her, but I am going in another direction with my collection at this time. Her silicone is a super soft eco flex 20 blend . Her open mouth can take a preemie pacifier which I will include as well. Her eyes have been opened professionally but this does not change her original sleeping appearance- when no eyes are inserted in the eye socket area. The eyelid has not been trimmed so the original look of the doll is intact, when eyes are inserted she has a peeking eye look. I will include the brown 12mm eyes with the doll. Maddilyn has an age-appropriate more red-mottled look of a premie as would be the case for an infant her age, she has creasing, light veining, mottling, and blushing with nail beds painted and tipped naturally. I painted her with Enifis nature colors silicone pigments purchased from MacPherson Arts & Crafts and I did her matting with Silicone Velvet. -Photos were taken next to a window with good sunlight and extra light from my studio lighting to show her coloring as well as possible. Maddilyn has very lightly micro-rooted hair, rooted eyebrows, and eyelashes -I used soft yearling mohair also from MacPherson Arts & Crafts. As with any full-body silicone, color variations happen during painting, etc and this is to be expected due to the nature of working with silicone reborns. There are some areas on the original silicone that have a slightly different texture, but that is how she came as a blank and is common with silicone dolls. I did see some small shiny areas on the back that can be fixed with a bit of powder as well. I like to note anything I see here so prospective buyers can make an informed decision before buying a silicone doll from my nursery. I also did add a small purplish birthmark on her right leg as well, for an added look of realism. I was fortunate that I had no issues with painting or matting with Maddilyn and other than normal color variations on her body skin tones, and the natural varying texture of silicone which is just normally imperfect, she turned out exceptionally well.
