Welcome reborn gumdrop cuddle baby! Sculpted by Pat Secrist. Gumdrop is part of my line of “Real Feel” reborn cuddle babies! The most realistic feeling cuddle babies, with an armature wire in limbs for extra posing. Each baby is strategically weighted by me, to perfection, for the ideal blend of flop and cuddle. There’s nothing “budget” about these babies! They are truly amazing! It has changed the way I feel about cuddle babies!
Born May 2, 2:41p, Baby is about 17” inches long and wears a preemie size. She is about 4.32Lbs and has a nice true-to-life feel. Baby has cloth limbs, a bellyplate, and an added wire armature for amazing poseability. She is painted in a just born newborn style, with many translucent layers that include veins, capillaries, millia, mottling, undertones, shading, blushing, baby acne, milia, skin texture areas, & glossing on her lips, in ears, nose. Her face has some spots of texture to give the appearance of pores/real skin. She has beautifully painted hair in a soft black, shaded to look like fine newborn hair. Baby has complimentary rooted dark brown mohair lashes which have been sealed from the inside. Baby looks adorable as a boy or a girl.
Baby has a magnet in her head for a magnetic pacifier. No detail has been overlooked! She was painted with heat set paints, and a heat set matte varnish was used. She is weighted well and flops like a real baby-please support her head and limbs. She is weighted to be very therapeutic to hold, and head moves realistically. If you can ever feel the armature wire inside the cloth body, no worries, the polyfill just gets pushed aside from posing, just gently push on it to keep it flat against the inside of the limb, and it should mesh back in.
She has a ring on her neck and jointed limbs for easy turning/posing. Her limbs are cloth and head is vinyl. [not silicone]. I photograph using natural light, in different settings, with my Cannon Rebel.
