Katelyn was created from the Katelyn kit by Kinby which is sister company to Bountiful Baby. She comes pre painted but I repainted her and painted her as I would paint any other reborn kit. After painting she has been completely sealed and varnished. She would be wonderful for a first time reborn collector or for a childs first reborn as she is smaller and not as heavy as many reborns. She came unassembled and I painted her and stuffed and weighted as I do all other dolls. She is 3 pounds 6 ounces and is 16 inches long . Her eyes are a blue color and came already installed. I turned them around as the eyelashes she came with were glued to them. I took them off but you can still see a little dark at bottom of her eyes from them. Layers and layers of Air dry paint was used to create this amazing living skin tone and sealed for protection. Not a crease was over looked. Katelyns limbs are filled with glass beads, poly pellets and fresh fiberfill. The cloth body and head are filled with the the same mixture. I have weighted her to be somewhat floppy like a new baby so her head will need to be supported. No sand is used in my babies so they are safe to travel to other countries. Her finger nails and toe nails have been given that fresh clipped look and sealed to prevent chipping. Some of the nails have some of the pre painted nails she came with that I could not get off but I did retip them. Her lips, mouth and tongue have been glossed to give a natural moist look. She even has painted white dots on the tongue for ultimate realism. Her veins have been applied to appear under the skin for ultimate realism. I have painted Katelyn as a newborn baby. She has full arms and full legs. Katelyn has baby powder scented wafers in her body that gives her that wonderful fresh scent that all new mommies love. Her hair is molded plastic type hair. I went over her hair with different colors to give it some highlights and show up better and than sealed it. Her eyebrows were hand painted on one lash at a time. The eyelashes are hand applied to match her hair. All of my pictures were taken in natural daylight and none of my pictures have been altered except for cropping so you can see what baby actually looks like. If this little sweetie has stolen your heart don't let her get away because this sweetie is a one of a kind work of art and there will never be another one exactly like her. Katelyn will come home with only the items listed here and any items in pictures not listed here were used as my photo props and not part of her sale. Katelyn will come with her cute owl pants and shirt set with a matching stuffed owl lovey and purple hat. she will have her bird onesie and her bow headband. Also included will be her white frilly socks, pacifier with pacifier clip, her pink bottle, fuzzy pink and white blanket ,a diaper, a birth certificate, and a care instruction sheet. All of the clothes, her pacifier, bottle and blanket are all made just for the Kinby kits.
