Jacob and Esau are old testament babies. If you remember the story, Jacob was born first with his brother Esau coming next holding onto his brother’s heel. Jacob inherited first-born rights, but Esau tricked him with the help of his mother using a goat skin to fool his father Isaac who was blind. Esau must have been pretty hairy, so this baby is made with lots of hair...even on his legs and arms.
Esau is from the Max sculpt by Bountiful Baby. He has full legs and arms, rooted hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and body hair. He weighs 2 pound 3 ounces and is 14 inches long.
Jacob has painted reddish brown hair and is from the Rosebud sculpt by Bountiful Baby. He is 15 inches long and weighs 2 pounds. His eyebrows are painted and his eyelashes are rooted. Jacob has full legs and 3/4 arms.
Both babies have magnetic pacifiers. If you know the story you will get the words on them. They also come home with a soft beige blanket, the gauzy nightshirts, a fake furskin bottle (does not work), and cloth swaddling for diapers. No disposables in those days, not even cloth or pins.
This set of twins is the third of the Babies of the Bible series. First was Moses; second was John the Baptist. The fourth will soon be available as Mary, Mother of Jesus. When the fifth baby, Joseph and his many-colored coat is finished the set will be complete.
