The doll featured has been created by the Realborn kit, Courtney, by Bountiful Baby. The kit is no longer available for purchase. It is a delightfully beautiful kit representing a newborn baby. It was a joy bringing Courtney to such a lifelike appearance. * * The weight on Courtney is 5 1/2 pounds and she is approximately 18 inches. Weight and length are close approximates.
* * I have used only Genesis heat set paints on Courtney. She has beautifully realistic blushing mottling and veining details. I gave her a delicate baby look manicure. The doll has been sealed with matte varnish. She was given a light mottled complexion. * * Courntney was fitted with a magnetic pacifier. She has a strong magnet to hold onto the pacifier. Please use caution around any equipment or persons sensitive to a strong earth magnet. Also, please be aware my doll has not been created to be a play toy for a small child. It should be treated as a valuable collector item. With proper care my doll will stay beautiful for many years to come.
*** Courney has non-jointed full arms and legs. Her head and limbs can be carefully turned for posing. Her head is floppy as a newborn would be and needs to be supported when picking up and setting down. She was given a doe cloth body recommended for the kit by Bountiful Baby. She has been weighted with glass beads and quality fiber fill. She is a joy to hold and was made slightly floppy to feel like a real baby.
** I gave Courtney a beautiful head of directionally rooted dark mohair. It is quality mohair from Slumberland Nursery. I wanted a sparser look for a doll representing a newborn baby. It is wispy and her precious scalp can be seen . The hair has a definite swirl. It does not tangle and can be moistened and carefully styled. It has been sealed from within. Courtney has rooted wispy eyelashes from the same mohair. She has very realistic painted eyebrows. I loved the way the kit took the mohair and it is has 1 to 2 hairs per plug. Her eyelashes are very securely glued in but I always advise being careful when putting clothing over the dolls head.
The dolls layette will include the clothing she is seen wearing, the magnetic pacifier. The hand crocheted cocoon wrap. I will include the certificate of authenticity and a care sheet with my advice for keeping the doll in pristine condition. No other items will be included. (I will create a custom Certificate of Adoption if requested. It will include the name of the doll (let me know if you would like a different name rather than Courtney) and the name of the adopting parent. (no other items will be included.)

I have been creating these amazing dolls since 2007. I put my heart and soul into their creation regardless of the price of the kit. Because the kit was a less expensive kit than some, I am able to offer her at a reasonable price.
Also, be advised that the skin tones and colors may appear different depending on computers or phones. She is very fair skinned with subtle mottling and tones.
