This is a silicone cuddle head Echo sculpted by Rafaela Daroz and cast by Bobbi Barfoot with 1/4 arms and on a Reggie cuddle body. She has glass eyes with rooted lashes and is mono-rooted with Babylocks mohair in a dark blonde color. Baby's mouth is opened and she can take a preemie pacifier which will be sent home with her. Echo is only the second silicone I've painted and the first done outside of class (a.k.a. adult supervision) and she does have a couple of boo boos.
She has a small scrape on her right forearm that I made while trying to remove the zip tie to take a little stuffing out for better posability. She has a bit of yellow paint pooled in her ear that doesn't really show up well in pictures but is there if you look for it. I didn't like the way the corners of her mouth looked after I had opened it so I decided to "fix" it with silpoxy (a.k.a. make a huge mess with toxic chemicals/craft supplies just because you have them on hand and you can). I probably don't even need to tell you that her mouth looked much better before I "fixed" it.
I haven't weighed this baby yet but she is a chunky monkey! I would guess around 5 1/2 pounds. The head and back must be supported when lifting her. I believe this is the cardinal rule of silicones. Always support the head. I would also recommend placing her head onto plastic wrap or silk when storing her to protect the rooting. And no hats or hairbands. And don't let your cats/dogs/birds/rabbits/nifflers anywhere near her. That, I believe, is also the cardinal rule of silicones.
All of my reborns are created to be enjoyed as works of art by adult and mature young collectors and not for use as toys, but this one in particular is not a toy. Even I am afraid to play with her. XD
