Up for "adoption" is my version of this amazing Realborn kit, June awake from Bountiful Baby. It is taking me many hours to give this beautiful little angel this most realistic look. She is an absolutely beautiful version of a precious beautiful newborn or month old baby. It has been sheer pleasure bringing this baby doll to this lifelike appearance.
The kit was a first quality kit. If the kit is a Realborn with no COA probably is a second quality kit. I only work with first quality Realborns.
June has full length non jointed limbs. She poses with ease as I gave the limbs and her head plastic rings She has a very realistic weight of 6 1/2 pounds. Height and weight are close approximates.
She has been given a newborn mottled complexion. I have given the multiple layers of skin tones, shaded creases and wrinkles, given her blue undertones in areas where the babies skin would be thinner. I gave her tiny broken capillaries on here eyelids and cheeks. She is a bigger doll and weighs 6 pounds. She is weighted with fine glass beads and fiber fill. She feels amazing real and cuddly. Painted hair.
I opted to paint the hair on June. On a small newborn I love the slightly balding look. It is a full head of head with some balding areas. It has taken me hours in my nursery to obtain the final look of babies painted hair. It is still wispy enough that his little scalp shows through. A painted head of hair is perfect for someone who does not want to fuss with mohair. The eyelashes are securely glued but always use care when putting clothing over his head. ***I wanted to make a potential buyer aware of one thing about the painted hair which I think should be pointed out. I mixed matte varnish and satin varnish together to give the effect of individual hairs on the head. In some light it will show up with the matte and look slightly flat. Only in certain lights that cast on the hair. The effect of individual hairs is very nice and one that I have been experimenting with. Just to call to your attention.
June is wearing mostly newborn clothing. She is not overly floppy. I would still recommend supporting her head. Please be aware that my doll is not meant to be a play toy for a small child. It should be handled carefully. My baby doll can stay beautiful for years to come with proper care. Please use care if you have pets that like to chew as the limbs contain fine glass beads.
The doll's eyebrows have been delicately painted and she was given a baby look manicure on her toe and fingernail tips. June has been fitted with a strong magnet behind her lips to hold onto her magnetic paci. Her layette will come with the clothing she is seen wearing, a receiving blanket that she will be wrapped in, an extra pamper, her Certificate of Authenticity, and a care sheet with my personal recommendations for keeping her pristine. No other items or props will be included (I normally do send along a little extra outfit of my choosing.) A note about the little blue dress. It doesn't fit as well as I would like. I will replace it with a darling outfit. Probably a one piece sleeper.
