LULLABY BABIES NURSERY (Where reborn dolls become future cherished heirlooms.)
You are sure to fall in love with this beautiful reborn doll when you snuggle him in your arms. Harper is an unusual and unique combination of two separate doll kits. Both kits came from Bountiful Baby. The head of this reborn baby is from the Realborn Tess. The limbs and full vinyl torso are from the discontinued Harper by Donna RuBert. This type of reborn doll kit is my favorite to reborn. This is NOT A SILICON kit. I love the complete realism of the anatomically correct little baby boy torso. I really do wish I had purchased a couple more of this type before it was discontinued. The torso fits over the cloth body like a turtle shell. I would not advise removing it. Please be aware that this type of kit will feel completely different than a kit with a cloth torso. It feels much stiffer, and more like a beautiful doll. I was able to make this doll a very realistic (and heavy) 7 and 1/2 pounds. The limbs and head turn so he can pose adorably. Because of the full limbs, the doll can wear a variety of clothing. The doll wears newborn size and possibly 0 to 3 months. I am delighted with the way this reborn baby doll looks. Because it is made with two separate kits the head has a slightly different complexion than the torso and limbs. It is not overly noticeable in my opinion. It is a unique example of a reborn doll and one that I would not be able to duplicate in the future. I loved every moment working with Harper and am happy to offer him to the doll collector that falls in love with him.
Both kits are first quality. I have the COA for the Tessa head, but Harper did not come with a COA. This kit was purchased from Bountiful Baby.
Harper has full length non jointed limbs. He poses with ease as I gave the limbs and her head plastic rings He has a very realistic weight of 7 1/2 pounds. Height and weight are close approximate
He has been given a newborn mottled complexion. I have given the multiple layers of skin tones, shaded creases and wrinkles, given him blue undertones in areas where the babies skin would be thinner. I gave him tiny broken capillaries on here eyelids and cheeks. Please note that a small amount of the cloth body inside of the torso does show through. The doll is weighted with fine glass beads. Painted hair.
I opted to paint the hair on Harper.. On a newborn I love the slightly balding look. It is a full head of head with lovely direction and realism. It has taken me hours in my nursery to obtain the final look of babies painted hair. It is still wispy enough that his little scalp shows through. A painted head of hair is perfect for someone who does not want to fuss with mohair. The hair has an adorable swirl to the crown. It has been painted using brushes with only a few bristles. I completed the look with a combination of satin varnish and glazing gel to represent individual hairs. I love the way it looks
Harper is wearing mostly newborn clothing. He definitely is not overly floppy. It isn't necessary to support his head but you can if you wish. Please be aware that my doll is not meant to be a play toy for a small child. It should be handled carefully. My baby doll can stay beautiful for years to come with proper care. Please use care if you have pets that like to chew as the limbs contain fine glass beads.
The doll's eyebrows have been delicately painted and he was given a baby look manicure on his toe and fingernail tips. I have rooted the lashes with beautiful fine mohair. It is a very wispy look on his sweet face. Please be aware I do NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on my doll's if you have questions at all about how the doll was painted, assembled or photographed please contact me and I will answer your questions. I do not rush to complete a doll and pay extra attention to so many details. I want my dolls to look realistic and last for many, many years for your enjoyment.
Harper has been fitted with a strong magnet behind her lips to hold onto his magnetic pacifier. His layette will come with the clothing he is seen wearing, a receiving blanket that he will be wrapped in, an extra pamper, his Certificate of Authenticity for the Tessa part of the doll., and a care sheet with my personal recommendations for keeping him pristine. No other items or props will be included (I normally do send along a little extra outfit of my choosing.)
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my unique version of this combination doll kit. I would not be able to every duplicate him as the Harper kit has been discontinued. Even though the doll feels stiffer with his full vinyl torso he is delightful to hold. Just not feeling as floppy as a doll with a cloth body instead of the vinyl torso.
