I am pleased to share with you my Baby Summer, I have created Summer using the "Spencer" sculpt by Wendy Dickinson, I decided to make my Spencer a girl and I have renamed her as Summer but you could obviously change this.
my pictures have been taken in natural window light.
I have used Genesis heat set paints to build up her detailed skin tones, tipped and sealed nails, painted eyebrows, lightly varnished mouth and I used 'IArtReborn, Dewy skin' medium to complete her soft skin.
Summer is a newborn size and fits snuggly in my arms for the perfect cuddle, she can wear first size and newborn size clothing, I have weighted her approximately 5lbs, she's very floppy and has a realistic feel for a baby this size.
Summer has 3/4 length arms and legs on a quality soft white jointed cloth body and is evenly weighted in her legs and arms using glass beads and virgin fibre fill, I have weighted her head and she has weight in her bottom which is surrounded with fibre fill. Her head is extra floppy so will need supporting, like a real baby.
I have hand rooted Summers hair using a gorgeous mohair from Poland "HappinessForDolls". this is the first time I have used hair from this company and its not only a beautiful colour and easy to root with but super soft I have completely sealed this inside. I recommend using a new toothbrush to comb using a little bit of baby shampoo/conditioner with water, she will come home with a baby comb.
Summer is a great size for a newborn cuddle, If you are considering adopting Summer for a younger collector, please keep in mind that Summer is NOT A TOY she is ART and contains small parts, She MUST be handled with LOVE.
Summer has a magnet fitted behind her mouth to hold her magnetic dummy (The magnets I use are extremely strong neo magnets these can be potentially unsafe around pacemakers, PLEASE message me if these need to be removed)
Summer will be prepared with a lovely box opening, she will come home in a new box along with the new clothing shown in her pictures.
