Bountiful Baby used 3D scans of the real baby Johannah to create this very detailed kit.
She was created in a smoke free home.

REALBORN JOHANNAH AWAKE I’ve created my beautiful Johannah to have my interpretation of ethnic, or bi-racial skin coloring.
Johanna was painted with heat set paint and mediums. I strive to create amazing realism with my skin tones and textures. The heat set paint is perfect for painting in thin layers or glazes, and is permanent when heat set.
I have applied a thin layer of pore texture and matte varnish to protect the paint. The skin does not feel rough.
**Skin** Johannah is painted to have a darker ethnic skin tone. She has gentle blushing, texturing, and mottling which simulate the uneven appearance of a baby's skin tone. Gentle blushing and shading are painted all over each limb and the head to bring out all of the excellent details on the baby. No crease or roll is overlooked.
This process takes many hours of work, but I do this to achieve the look that I want. It is worth it when I see the realistic results.
**Hair** Her hair is a pretty soft black. I used premium angora mohair on her, and the texture is soft, fine, with a very slight wave. I painstakingly micro-root using a very fine needle that roots only 1 or 2 hairs at a time. The natural pattern of hair growth is followed giving the scalp a realistic look.
It takes many hours and days to root the hair, but the results are worth the effort. I also paint the fine hairs that grow around the scalp with tiny brush strokes to simulate the hair that grows around a baby's face. Johannah’s hair has been internally sealed, and it can be wet, gently brushed, and styled.
**Face** Johannah has some gorgeous Hazel German glass eyes.
I have very softly painted her brows with a tiny brush one hair stroke at a time.
The brows are finely detailed, and she has some rooted eyelashes.
Her sweet little mouth has many thin layers of paint applied to get a natural lip color. A fine layer of dewy skin varnish has been applied on his face for subtle texture and to protect the paint.
**Body** She has full arms and legs that have been filled with glass beads and fiberfill. She has a cloth, non-jointed body. Her head, arms, and legs can be turned for posing. Her head has been weighted to be floppy.
**Magnet** A magnet has been secured in her head for her pacifier and hair bow. Caution: magnets can be harmful to people with pacemakers.
**Layette** Johannah wears size Newborn and 0-3 months She will come home with an outfit of my choice, plus a hair band, bow, and pacifier.
**Blankets, toys, clothing, and other items are for her photo shoot and are not included in her layette.
**Miscellaneous information**
*Pictures were taken over many days, under different weather conditions. I use natural light, so colors may vary slightly. Monitors and devices can also show colors a little differently. I do my best to post clear pictures of my work.
