Meet Elwyn by Elisa Marx, a grumpy adorable newborn boy painted in a realistic skintone for a black baby whose melanin hasn’t quite come in yet. He is 20” long, weighted, and floppy. He has full limbs and fits perfectly in most newborn-size clothes. This is an interesting kit, as the eyes are actually meant to be painted on but I immediately knew I couldn’t stand not having glass eyes - even if they’re barely there! So the vinyl has been carefully opened with an exacto knife and eyes have been placed inside the head with a combination of putty and heat-set vinyl, creating the most perfectly secure pocket for your unique baby’s blue-gray dark eyes. Quite the task, but worth it for his perturbed side-eye!
Elwyn comes home with a COA, a muslin blanket, display pacifier, modified pacifier, pacifier clip, gray romper, onesie, gray sleeper, gray socks, a bibdana, and extra diapers.

This is a for my nursery, where dolls normally exceed $1,000. All this means is that he is weighted on the light side and that the hair has been done with Prismacolor pencils (still textured and sealed), and that the layette is smaller.

I do not do business with minors and I highly discourage any adults from purchasing a reborn for someone under the age of 16. My reborn dolls are not toys. They are not suitable for children and must be handled with great care. Vinyl is porous and can absorb dark hues, so avoid leaving your doll in contact with dark fabrics, especially black and dark blue, for extended periods of time. Some vinyl is more susceptible to this transfer than others, but even the most extensive sealants can not always prevent your doll from being stained if not handled properly.
