Partial Silicone Emmett is the cutest!! This is the second one I have done, and I will probably have to do another lol! I have him photographed as a girl and a boy, and I just can’t decide which is cuter!
-Emmett is a partial silicone baby that was sculpted from scans of a real baby. Partial silicone means that the head, arms and legs are made of super squishy soft silicone, and the body is cloth that has been stuffed and weighted to feel like a newborn in your arms. I had so much fun bringing Emmett to life, and gave him all the little details that add to his realism. Please be sure to watch the video to see how squishy his movement is. If I could hand her through this screen for you to snuggle I would!
-Emmett’s hair is super soft, blonde mohair that has been carefully micro-rooted and is soft to the touch. I used Go Baby mohair, which is high quality and does not get matted and tangled easily. It is my favorite brand of mohair! His eyelashes are rooted using the same hair, and his brows are also mohair but they are applied instead of rooted.
-Emmett was painted lovingly by me with Psycho Paint silicone, and Silc Pig pigments. He has been sealed and matted with Silicone Velvet Matte Powder for a beautiful finish and added durability.
-Please note that Emmet has several slightly shiny spots. The matting powder was giving me some trouble and I have lowered his price to account for that. You can see it in the video better than you can in the photos if you would like to take a look. I can also send extra photos if you would like closeups. It isn’t super noticeable, but I want to be sure that you know about it before you buy.
Emmett is simply a lovely baby, and I’ll be sad to let him go!
Some things to remember when purchasing and caring for a silicone doll: -Hair is rooted very carefully and deeply but can’t be sealed like vinyl reborn doll’s hair. Be careful with brushing and putting hats or headbands on and off. I recommend using silk- lined hats that are very gentle on the hair. I will send a soft toothbrush and spray bottle that you can use to gently brush the hair. I use distilled water and a few drops of Biosilk for brushing, but regular water will work too!
-Emmett’s mouth has been opened, and he can use a preemie-sized pacifier. Be very careful when inserting, and be sure to brush the pacifier with silicone powder when using so it won't tear the sides of the mouth.
-Silicone is not a perfect material, and small flaws can be expected. I do my very best to make sure every baby is absolute perfection, but I’m not a factory, of course, and these are handmade pieces of art that can have little imperfections here and there. My photographs are in the best lighting possible, but please ask me for more if you need closeups of any parts. I will be happy to do that, as all sales are final, and I want to ensure this is the best baby for you before sending out.
-These babies are meant to be held, cuddled, and loved, which is all good and will not cause any damage. Silicone is actually quite strong and your baby should have many years of snuggle ahead of her. This being said Silicone Art Dolls are not meant for children and are normally not appropriate for ages under 12. Of course, there are always exceptions, and If your child is super careful and wants one with all their heart, then who am I to deny some dolly love? I would have lost my mind for a baby like this when I was little!
