Ronin, by Laura Tuzio Ross, is a good-sized baby at 23 inches long and weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces. She is very realistic in look and feel. This is the first time I’ve ever created Ronan as a girl. I must say, this kit looks nice as a girl. She has fine veining and capillaries throughout his body. Her mottling is light to reflect the older baby that she is. Some details are so small they are hardly seen by the human eye but give an overall effect of realism. She has the cutest little finger and toe nails.
Ronin has full vinyl limbs and a soft doe suede body. Her body is generously filled with soft polyfill which allows her to sit up on her own. She wears 0 – 3-month clothing and a size 2 diaper. She is fun to dress.
Her hair is painted in multiple shades of brown for a realistic 3-D look. Her eye lashes are rooted over her beautiful, blue eyes. She takes a modified magnetic pacifier.
As in all my reborns, quality is important. Ronin’s hair, eye lashes and pacifier magnet have been double glued. In addition, her pacifier has a moleskin cover to insure it stays put. Her limbs and head are plugged for strength. Her flanges have a hard-smooth covering which allows her connectors to be nice and tight yet makes his limbs move easily. Her paint is sealed with Americana Soft Touch Varnish, this gives a nice matt finish that is smooth to the touch.
