This is Ruby Awake! I bought her in May of this year. She is gorgeous but she is a little smaller than I had hoped and I haven't bonded with this kit. I am also selling a few of my dolls to make room for others that may be a better fit for me. :)
I bought her from the very talented Gina Diederich with Onesleepingangel Studio. This is the sold out, discontinued �Realborn "Ruby awake" kit by Bountiful Baby. She was hand painted using Genesis heat set paints. This paint is permanent. She has subtle mottling and veining throughout her limbs, blue and purple undertones where babies have thinner skin. Gina used her own combination of Genesis varnish to matte, seal and protect her painting which gives her "skin" texture. She has given Ruby a lovely new baby caucasian skin tone. She paints only in natural daylight and applied many thin layers for a realistic 3D effect. She mixed her own colors making Ruby, truly one of kind! Ruby has painted eyebrows and barely there rooted lashes. Her sweet nose has been shaded to create depth and Gina added the moisture affect to her eyelids, ears, and nostrils. Her lips have been lightly glossed. A small nail scratch on her cheek, milia and some baby acne adds to her details. She has given Ruby beautiful dark blue German Lauscha glass eyes. She then glossed them over for that newborn blurry/wet look. She has a magnet for a modified pacifier. Ruby has a professionally made cloth body. It features non jointed full arms and full legs with a gathered tushy with a darted chest for the ultimate in realism when posing or holding sweet Ruby. It is a lovely flesh color and will look seamless under clothes. Scarlett fits well into 0 to 1 month size clothing depending on the brand and fit you like. Her limbs and body are filled with a combination of 2 different size fine glass beads, soft fiberfill and a baby fat tummy insert. She is weighted to feel like a real baby in your arms. She is scented to keep her smelling baby fresh. Her sweet fingers and toes have been tipped and sealed. Gina has given Ruby lovely high quality yearling angora mohair in a beautiful auburn red color. It is directionally rooted, very soft, straight to slightly wavy and sealed from the inside so that it may be gently styled, so precious! Mohair really adds to the realism of your reborn!
Ruby has had an outfit change a few times and only been on display in my home. We do have a dog but he is not allowed where the doll is displayed. Smoke free home.
She will come with a box opening of the dress outfit shown, a few more outfits, magnetic paci, rattle, her bunny, a bottle, a few extra diapers, and a little swaddler blankie. Blanket in photos not included. Also including a little something for the new mommy too. :)
