Look who's awake in the nursery! Please welcome James. This is the "Jamie" kit by the wonderful sculptor Adrie Stoete. Jamie is a part of Adrie's mix and match collection. What a precious kit, so newborn! James was hand painted using Genesis heat set paints. This paint is permanent. He has subtle mottling and veining throughout his limbs, blue and purple undertones where babies have thinner skin. I use my own combination of varnish to matte, seal and protect his painting and give him a slight texture. I have given James a lovely new baby skin tone. I paint only in natural daylight, apply many thin layers for a realistic 3D effect and never rush my work. I mix my own colors making James truly one of kind! James has barely there textured eyebrows and no lashes for that newborn look. His sweet nose has been shaded to create depth and I have added the moisture affect to his eyelids, ears, bridge of nose, nostrils and inside his mouth. His lips have been lightly glossed. Milia on his nose and a small nail scratch on his cheek adds to his details. I have given James high quality German glass eyes in a sparkling blue/grey color. I then heavely glazed them over for that newborn blurry look. James is a 1/4 length limbed cuddle baby. His hands and feet are 1/4 length on a professionally made cloth body. The cloth body features a gathered tush and jointed arms and legs with built in knee and elbow "joints" for lots of posing fun! (There is no armature.) It is a lovely flesh color and will look seamless under clothes. James fits well into newborn sized clothing depending on the brand and the fit you like. His limbs and body are filled with a combination of 2 different size glass beads, soft fiberfill and a baby fat tummy insert. I have weighted him to feel like a real baby in your arms. He is scented to keep him smelling baby fresh and has a magnet for a magnetic pacifier. His sweet fingers and toes have been tipped and sealed. I have chosen high quality yearling mohair in a choclate brown color for James. It is directionally rooted, very soft with a slight wave to it. It is sealed from the inside so that it may be gently styled. Rooted hair really adds to the realism of your reborn!

Baby is handmade, fragile and considered art, not a toy. He is meant to be displayed and observed. I do not recommend my babies for children under the age of 14. I have been creating reborn babies for years and have been a prototype artist for top sculptors such as Toby Morgan, Tru Born Inc and Cassie Brace. Each baby made in my studio takes many hours of dedication to complete. I take pride in my art and care about my work. I use only quality materials and proven methods along with some of my own techniques. I am constantly working to improve with each baby made. I strive for a pleasant transaction. I take very detailed box packing photos to ensure baby was packed with care. Baby is represented in the photos to the best of my ability with all pictures taken by myself in natural daylight using a Nikon dslr camera over a two day period. Baby is painted art so the skin tone may vary slightly depending on the light in which baby is displayed. I use a color calibrated, high resolution monitor. Monitor settings may differ so please allow for this. It is best to view the pictures from several different devices if you can. As with any handmade item slight imperfections can occur but do not detract from the beauty of the art work. Please make sure the baby is for you BEFORE buying. I do not offer a private layaway here however you may take advantage of PayPal's delayed payment program (pending approval). I do not alter my reborns once completed so please do not ask for any modifications. I use a digital scale to weigh the baby. The accuracy of other digital scales may vary slightly. Baby comes with the items in the layette section only. All other items in photos are props and not included in the sale. Due to the recent passing of my pet, my studio is currently pet free however I do work with animal (mo)hair. Baby's date of birth on certificate will be day of sale.
