Silja is meant to look like a stressed out, worried looking, playful toddler that is looking for reassurance.
Her artistry was started by another newer artist, and abandoned. She has a firm vinyl head, making hair rooting difficult for a newer artist. She was originally rooted with white mohair going in an upward direction, and painted with heat set white. Her hair was not rooted fully, and it was too short for the age. In an effort to salvage the sculpt, I dyed her existing white hair platinum, then added longer, multi colored premium mohair, (the blonde and platinum highlights we all dream of.)
She has several layers of air dry Liquitex. She was given green acrylic eyes and ponytails. Due to her hair being different lengths, and rooted in an upward direction, her hair is best set in ponytails or a messy bun. Her eyelashes are applied and her eyebrows are rooted.
She has a few very minor flaws, thicker paint, an unblended bit of paint on the back of one ear (not noticeable unless looking closely to critique) She does have multiple freckles throughout her face and neck. She also has a freckle on one ear.
Her hair also is not micro-rooted at the hairline. You can see the hair plugs if brushed back. Therefore, it is best to put her hair in ponytails and give her the messy bun look.
For this reason, I have marked her a boo-boo baby and marked her price fairly considering her quality.
None of this takes away from her pitiful and worried look!
She is stuffed at a nice chubby toddler size of 5.3 lb. Her body is firm ---yet squishy, a fat baby, with poly pellets, polyfill and glass bead socks. She has a sewn in bellybutton, where the glass bead sock has a knot in it, giving the illusion of a belly button.
Her weight is distributed evenly, to mimic that of a toddler, a chunky older baby.
She will come with her pacifier and everything you see in the photos. (minus the white socks on her hands) She will have flowered gloves.
There is a snag in the band of the headband, (shown)
She will not come with a box opening, as I don't have any clothes this size. She will come with:
