Here we have my newest pretty baby doll..,Tayra from the Tayra Gudrun Legler kit. This is a limited edition kit and she is absolutely adorable. I have been making reborn babies since 2010 and I appreciate you taking the time to view my nursery. I generally don’t do high end kits as it ( in my opinion) makes the price outside what many people can afford. I try to price my babies at a reasonable price as I love making them and more than anything .. I love when they are adopted and/or purchased .. my babies are heirloom quality dolls… I pride myself on customer satisfaction… Tayra is baby #373. The Tayra kit alone cost me 140.00… that doesn’t include the eyes, hair, weighting material, etc. I will have other babies priced lower than this.. but because this is a limited edition kit.. she is priced in what I consider a higher price. Buy with confidence.. my photography is my weakness and my customers are generally very pleased when they receive my babies… the photographs just don’t do them justice.
I purchased this kit from McPherson Crafts. She comes with a Certificate of Design Authenticity and a Pretty Baby Dolls birth Certificate.
Baby is 22 inches long - with fully vinyl arms and legs. She has a soft doe suede body and has been weighted perfectly as to feel like a real baby. She is a newborn size baby and is sporting clothes that are newborn size.
I have micro-rooted baby’s hair with a baby blonde mohair… I use delta dawn premium mohair and have sealed the hair so it can be gently combed and styled. Baby has applied medium black eyelashes. Tayra has blue eyes.
To create this beautiful baby - please note the following:
Realisticly “barely there” eyebrow.
Rooted medium blonde hair.
Multiple layers of genesis heat set paint to created a realistic and dimensional skin tone. Genesis paints are non toxic and never chip or fade.
Weighted with small glass beads and padded with angel soft polly fill.
Tipped and sealed fingernails and toenails.
Gloss medium on lips and a bit on the nose and around eyes for added realism.
She weighs about 8 pounds and is 22 inches long.
Baby also has a magnetic pacifier, her own baby blanket and her clothes featured in the photographs.

As with any work of art, this baby is a depiction of my personal artistic impression of a soft, sweet and realistic baby girl.
