Ruben is a boy version of Ruby Asleep, a Realborn(c) kit from Bountiful Baby. The vinyl parts are made from 3D scans of live babies resulting in the most realistic baby dolls possible. Ruben has an added full torso to accommodate the drink and wet mechanism inside. He has a specially made bottle and pacifier to work with the inner tubing that permits water or fake formula made from sunscreen or fabric softener and water. I don't know if other formulas will work, but those have been tested and have not clogged or caused any damage to the doll over the eight years i have been making and selling these dolls. No wetness will seep into the inner parts of the doll with proper handling. Changing after feeding is recommended as well as the use of a bib or burp cloth.
This doll was painted with top quality air dry acrylics and sealed several times with matte varnish to protect the finish.
Ruben comes home with three outfits, booties, a hat, a bottle, a pacifier with clip, a blanket, extra diapers, a bib, and a few surprises.
As with all reborn dolls, these are collectible items for adult enthusiasts. They are not toys for children. They must be handled carefully and gently.
