Baby Emmy is now a discontinued sold-out kit. She is a one-of-a-kind, 3D Oil Painting, by Me! This little gem started out as a blank, Vinyl Scan of a REAL BABY. I spend hours painting many layers of heat set oil paint till I get the results of a Realistic Looking Baby. I start with many layers of warming colors to get a warmer skin tone. Once done, I add up to 12 layers of mottling in different colors to make the skin look like blood is running beneath it. More paint layers on top of mottling gives the skin tones that newborn PINK LOOK. Undertones and veins are painted next. This gives another layer of realism under the skin, the colors of Blues, Greens and Yellows. Face detailing gives the baby the most realistic look including milk bumps, pimples, scratches, blushing, shading, micro veins and stork bites. Final painting details on this baby included fine feathery painted hair and eyebrows. The eyelashes were then hand rooted with tiny little hairs for a realistic look. I finish the baby with fine glass beads poured in the arms and legs to fill the fingers and toes which give the limbs stability and weight. The head is also stuffed but with larger glass and fiberfill for a realistic heavy baby head that flops. The Soft cloth body is stuffed with sacks of glass and fiberfill which gives the baby the final weight and flop of a newborn. Hold one and you will be in love!!
