Carol was created from the Realborn Carol kit by Bountiful Baby. She is an adorable little girl, about the size of a newborn baby.
Bountiful Baby used 3D scans of the real baby Carol to create this very detailed kit.
She was created in a smoke free home.

She was painted with heat set paint. I strive to create amazing realism with my skin tones and textures.
I have applied a thin layer of matte pore texture varnish to protect the paint. The skin does not feel rough.
**Skin**
She has gentle blushing, texturing, and mottling which simulate the uneven appearance of a newborn baby's skin tone.
She has some special effects like scratches, stork bites, and tiny blemishes.
In addition, I paint subtle veins on the head, arms and legs to give ultimate realism to the skin.
Gentle blushing and shading are painted all over each limb and the head to bring out all of the excellent details on the baby.
No crease or roll is overlooked.
This process takes many hours of work, but I do this to achieve the look that I want. It is worth it when I see the realistic results.
**Hair**
Carol’s hair is a pretty medium brown
I used premium angora mohair on her, and the texture is soft, and fine.
Her hair is so pretty, and lays so nicely.
I painstakingly micro-root using a very fine needle that roots only 1 or 2 hairs at a time.
The natural pattern of hair growth is followed giving the scalp a realistic look.
It takes many hours and days to root the hair, but the results are worth the effort.
I also paint the fine hairs that grow around the scalp with tiny brush strokes to simulate the hair that grows around a baby's face.
Her hair has been internally sealed, and it can be wet, gently brushed, and styled.
**Face**
Little Carol has an adorable, expressive face. I have very softly painted her brows with a tiny brush one hair stroke at a time.
The brows are finely detailed, and she has rooted eyelashes.
Her sweet little mouth has many thin layers of paint applied to get a natural lip color.
Her face has been painted and blushed to look like my interpretation of a newborn baby.
A fine layer of dewy skin varnish has been applied on her face for subtle texture and to protect the paint.
**Body**
She has full arms and legs that have been filled with glass beads and fiberfill. She has a cloth, non-jointed body weighted with glass beads and fiberfill. Her head, arms, and legs can be turned for posing.
Her head has been weighted to be floppy.
**Magnets**
Magnets have been secured in her head for her pacifier and hair bow.
Caution: magnets can be harmful to people with pacemakers.
**Layette**
Carol wears size 0-3 months
She will come home with an outfit of my choice, a pacifier, plus some extras to make a special box opening for the buyer.
* A magnetic hair bow will also come home with her.
**Blankets, toys, clothing, and other items are for her photo shoot and are not included in her layette.
**Miscellaneous information**
*Pictures were taken over many days, under different weather conditions.
I use natural light, so colors may vary slightly.
*I do not offer a layaway, however there are payment plans offered with PayPal.
