Alexa is one of my bargain babies. Which means she is meant to be at budget price and a chance for some of my customers to get a lower priced doll. I’ve painted he or she in the same way I paint all of my reborns though. He or she Is painted with GHSP and BC paints. She or he was painted over hours; days and dozens of layers to create a finish piece of artwork or reborn doll. This is definitely not a toy and meant to be handled with care. This little one features a ton of realistic details such as: Mottling Veining Creasing Blushing Shading Multiple layers of thin rich tones of pink, yellow, purples, and blues to create depth and the illusion of skin tone and transparency. Nail detail Gloss Milia
I’ve painted and drawn hair on this little one with prisma pencils to make sure to keep her costs low for my customers as a bargain baby. The hair includes shading for depth and I’ve added lanugo to help keep the realism of an ethnic newborn. The lanugo is on parts of her legs, shoulders, forehead and sides of cheeks. Baby’s hair and body have been sealed with varnish and I’ve added a soft touch top coat for a nice feel. Lashes have been rooted and sealed from the inside. There is also a magnet for a pacifier, which is included.
Alexa is weighed with fine glass beads and stuffed with poly fill. I’ve assembled he or she to feel and flop like a real newborn. All limbs including head are weighed and so it will need to be supported. Alexa weighs 6 pounds, 4 ounces. Fits premie and newborn.
