Ahanu means “he laughs" in Algonquin which is a native language spoken by many different tribes from the US and Canada. I thought it was a fitting name for him. Im in love with this little guy. He was so much fun to create. This baby has a rich dark skin tone, textured pore like varnish on his face and matte varnished everywhere else. He is mono rooted with lovely, high quality, human hair. It is not terribly long and Im not the best at doing hair but even I managed some cute little braids as seen in pictures. He has gorgeous chocolate brown, blue sclera, blown glass eyes framed with black mohair rooted lashes.
This little boy has 3/4 limbs which I usually don't like but I adore how poseable and cuddly he is. I put packs of glass beads in his arm and leg caps (cloth part of his limbs) so they feel more like part of his limbs rather than soft and squishy. It also helps to hold his limbs up without them dangling from the soft parts. If you want to see how this looks and "feels" go to the end my latest video. I did not give him a pacifier magnet but I will make him a modified pacifier with a soft ear plug as the paci nipple so it will stay in his mouth.
Little Ahanu will come home with all his clothes seen in pictures (sizes 6,9, and 12 months), a cloth diaper made by my daughter, his Reborns by Zebra crocheted zebra doudou (lovey) and crocheted moccasins. He will also bring his petrol blue blanket, his modified pacifier, hair conditioner and comb plus hair ties, COA, birth certificate, and a special treat for his new parent (s)
