Edith by Cassie Ann Love is a perfect rendition of a newborn baby, she is 18.5 inches long and weighs 4 pounds 1 ounce. I put a lot of detail in to this baby to make her as realistic as possible. She has fine veining and capillaries throughout her body including her eye lids and inside her ears. She has many colors of mottling reflecting the skin of a newborn baby. She has the cutest little finger and toe nails. Her nails alone have four different shades of paint. She comes with a Honeybug magnetic pacifier that fits her face perfectly. She had a bilirubin test red mark on one of her heals. No detail was missed in creating Edith.
Edith has full vinyl limbs and a soft doe suede body. She is filled with fine glass beads surrounded by premium Angel Soft fill. This makes her exceptionally soft and cuddly. She is very floppy, her head needs support.
Her hair is micro-rooted in two tones of brown. Light brown on most of her head and a lighter brown around her forehead and temples for incredible realism. Her lashes are rooted in a slightly darker brown. Her eye lashes are painted and I applied real hair on top of that, so realistic! . As in all my reborns, quality is important. Inside her head, Edith’s hair, eye lashes and pacifier magnet have been double glued. In addition, her pacifier has a moleskin cover to insure it stays put. Her flanges have a hard-smooth covering which allows her connectors to be nice and tight yet makes her limbs move easily. Her paint is sealed with Americana soft touch varnish, this gives a nice matt look that is soft to the touch.
