Realborn Clyde is made from a photometric scan of a real premature baby. He's a sweet little preemie that is 17" long and weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces - which translates to about 5 pounds if he was a living baby. Real babies carry their own weight by movement and breathing which makes them feel lighter than they are. The opposite is true for reborns.
Clyde has been painted with many layers of Genesis Heat Set Paint and he is mottled to replicate preemie skin. Clyde has painted hair in 3 colors of brown. He has magnets inside his head - one behind his mouth to attach his pacifier and one on the right side of his head in case someone wants to make him a girl - then "she" can wear magnetized bows. He is a beautiful baby that would fool anyone into believing he's real!
He has 3/4 arms, full legs and soft, cloth body.
Clyde will come home with 2 outfits, a blanket, care instructions, adoption certificate and a pacifier.
Please note that reborns are painted to be collector dolls, and as such, cannot tolerate the rough handling of a department store doll. Their paint can chip or become shiny if they are not cared for with the respect of a real baby. If you plan on purchasing for a child, please ensure they are responsible and will respect the care sheet instructions so the reborn will stand the test of time. I cannot be held responsible for fixing a reborn that has been mishandled or mistreated by a young person. Thanks for understanding!
