This tiny bundle of sweetness was created from the Max sculpt by Cindy Musgrove. Max was originally sculpted as a full bodied baby boy. I put him on a cloth body so I could make him a girl. I had to improvise a neck flange in order to do this (see last photo). Her doe suede body makes her much more poseable than the original full vinyl body. The result is a cuddly baby that curls right up in your arms. Her body, limbs and head have been weighted with tiny glass beads. Her head needs to be supported just like a real baby's. She weighs 2 lbs, 3 oz and is 14 inches long with her legs bent,15 if they were straight. She is NOT A TOY but a collectible piece of 3-D art intended for adults. She does not meet child safety standards and should not be given to young children. Maxine has been painted in many ultra thin layers of professional quality air dry paints. She has all the details of the bigger kids, including newborn mottling, tiny veins and finger and toe nails. Her nose and creases have been shaded and she has been blushed in all the right places. She has hand painted eyebrows. Her premium quality mohair has been hand rooted and sealed from the inside. Her hair can be dampened and gently styled. She wears 3-5 lb preemie clothing. She will come home with all the clothing seen in the pictures; hand crocheted booties; birth certificate; care instructions and some little extras. She does not have a magnetic pacifier but one can be added on request before she is sent home.
