Up for your consideration is this beautiful reborn sculpted by Antonio Sanchis and reborned by me. The only type of paint that I use on my dolls is genesis heat set paint. The paint bonds with the vinyl and does not fade out. It withstands the test of time.
I've weighted this doll with only quality non-toxic materials. I've used plastic poly pellets, clear glass fine beads and quality fiber fill. The doll is weighted at a very realistic 6 pounds. Baby is cuddly as can be. The arms and legs are full length and allowing baby to wear a larger variety of clothing. Baby's head needs to be supported as though it is a real baby. The cloth body is a quality body and is slim.
I've given the doll lovely realistic skin tones, accentuated all creases and wrinkles. Baby has slightly mottled skin tones. Please note that the face has a dewy looking shine to it. The features are beautiful and so realistic. My heart melts when I hold her in my arms and look into that sweet face.
I decided to paint the doll's hair rather than rooting. I am my own worst critic and always describe my work as honestly as I possibly can. The hair painting did turn out with slightly more shine than I would have liked. No way is this a boo boo baby. The painted hair has beautiful swirls and flows in a lovely pattern. If you have any questions at all about the doll please contact me and I will answer with complete honestly. I gave Sara hand rooted wispy mohair eyelashes and subtle painted eyebrows.
Baby was given very realistic and subtle veining. I am always very careful with painting the finger and toe nails. I use a magnifier and paint over and over until I am satisfied with the results. I've given the limbs a final layer of matte varnish. I reborn my baby dolls to last for many years with the proper care.
Please be aware that at this low of a price I cannot include any layette at all. I will pick out one outfit of my own choosing. No extras will be included. The doll will have the magnetic pacifier.
I did give Sara a magnetic pacifier. The lips have a magnet behind them to hold onto the binky. Please use proper care around equipment or any persons (i.e with pacemakers) I do NOT recommend my dolls for children under the age of 13. I don't make them as play toys. The doll should be treated as a fine collectible. I include a care sheet with my suggestions for proper care of the doll.
