Ainsley is a unique reborn drink and wet baby created from a Ginger head with full limbs matched from other kits, and a full vinyl anatomically correct female torso. She has specially made internal vinyl tubing that allows her to drink water (distilled only) and then wet her diaper. Her insides, stuffing, and weighting materials will not become wet or mildew because the water is completely contained inside plastic tubing. Her body is fully weighted to 7 pounds 2 ounces for her 20-inch length. She is very realistically detailed. Ainsley wears Newborn size diapers and clothing. She has been artfully painted with professional grade air dry acrylic paints after proper prepping with a special sealer which allows the paint to adhere with permanence given gentle care and handling. Ainsley features delicate eyebrows, gentle blushing, subtle shading, and delicate nails on her fingers and toes for amazing realism. Her blond rooted hair is quality mohair and can be styled using a variety of headbands, bows, etc. Take special care while feeding that the bottle does not drip excessively down the mouth and neck which could possibly seep inside the cracks or damage the paint on her face. Hold the bottle so that the special nipple fits inside completely; use a bib or burp cloth to keep her face dry and use only distilled water in the bottle. Anything else could possibly build up mineral deposits inside the mechanics and cause it to stop working much the same way as coffee pot does. The nipple on the bottle is a perfect fit that should slip in easily if lined up correctly. Feed the baby no more than two ounces at a time, slowly, gently squeezing the plastic bottle to send small swallows into her mouth. If you follow these guidelines, you will have a lot of fun feeding your baby and changing her diaper. Although the baby is relatively waterproof, do not immerse her in water as that would result in overloading too much water onto the parts. Since Ainsley’s mouth is not widely open, you may need to gently squeeze her cheeks to open the tubing to insert the special nipple. Ainsley comes home to her new mommy with 2 outfits, a bottle and pacifier made especially for her, a pacifier clip, two extra diapers, and a cuddly soft blanket.
