Comet just got a bit of a make over, he has combi rooted hair now. He has cruly textured auburn hair on to[ that matches his painting. I will have new photos soon, his price will remain the same.
This is Comet our sweet little carrot top baby boy. He is the Charles Realborn sculpt and was created using 3-D imagery of an actual newborn baby. Comet is a 20 inch vinyl baby with full limbs and soft cloth weighted body. Comet also has an anatomically correct belly plate and back plate.
Comet has a medium complexion, peaches and cream and a lot of mottling. He has painted hair in different shades of auburn, light brown and a touch of blond. He has light brown angora mohair rooted eyelashes.
Comet is a lovely baby, he is lightly scented and magnetized, he will come home with his paci. Comet is a perfect addition to your reborn collection and is perfect for a teen or tween, he is not recommended for memory care. Reborns are never intended for small children.
Artists Notes: I think this is an awesome little guy he is one of those babies that you want to pick up and cuddle. I struggled with the color of his hair, it was originally much lighter but he seemed washed out so I darkened it up a bit and it felt right.
Comet has front and back belly plates and they are awesome for photography but they are not a perfect fit (I don't think they ever are) I didn't lace him into the plates I like him soft and cuddly. The plates will be sent with him for photography. They are anatomically correct and in the photos they are baby powdered for affect.
Comet is another baby that is just sweeter in person, we had bad weather (we photograph in natural light) so the lighting was off but I wanted to get him listed today.
Real Reborns are made one at a time by a reborn artist. What makes these babies amazing and different from a store bought doll is that each one is unique and has perfect imperfections. If a baby does have imperfections that were not intentional the price will reflect that, if we feel it is something that may need to be disclosed we will do that in our description.
Our babies are vinyl with a soft cloth body that is weighted with glass beads. We do not weigh babies, they are filled to be as realistic as we can make them. If this is meant to be a therapy doll let us know so we can make the baby lighter for you.
Photography is done in our studio with natural lighting available at the time. Our images are not filtered or altered and may not be used without permission. We try to keep photography as honest as we can.
Feel free to ask questions we love answering them but please note that Saint Cloud does have a no return policy. Make sure this is the baby you really want before you order. We also DO NOT do customs, lay-away, hold babies, swap or exchange babies or do trades, we just do not have the bookkeeping to manage that at this time. All our babies are going home for the first time.
(A "box opening" is a separate charge of 50.00. We usually do these for our friends that film their box openings or want to make the opening special for the person they are gifting the baby to. The items in the box opening are chosen by Saint Cloud Nursery for that particular baby.)
Our babies are double checked before they go to post to be sure they are complete, undamaged, carefully wrapped and ready for you to love.
