Ferdinand is one (#57) of a small limited edition of 555 vinyl kits sculpted by Master Sculptor Karola Wegerich His baby is truly one of a kind, needless to say, the photos speak for themselves. 18” Doll on a custom black fabric body, this is vinyl sculpt that consists of 1/4 arms and 1/4 legs. Weighs approx 2 lbs and is jointed at the shoulders and hips for movement.
Every single inch of this baby was masterfully handpainted, he has a hoof which is painted with highlight and lowlights of brown, yellows, tans. One foot and one hoof. Nails are yellowed and grayed- not a spot of this doll was overlooked with detail.
His curse mark on his forehead looks like it is wet to the touch- freshly emerged from within as he goes through his horrid transformation.
Ferdinand looks as if his growing horn buds are painful as well. I’ve even reddened the skin in be areas where the buds are emerging. Baby Ferdinand is meticulously hand painted with Genesis Heat Set Paints, the highest quality heat curing paints on the market. These are permanent pigments and will not chip, crack or fade with time.
Ferdinand was directionally microrooted with the finest quality Premium Mohair- Delta Dawn Darkest Chocolate Brown- which is $100 and ounce. I use ONLY the finest quality materials in my works of art. Hair is double sealed inside of the head for waterproofing, which is allow dampening and styling. Ferdinand is weighted with fine glass beads sealed within the limbs and poly pellets within the belly I’ve poured my heart into this doll as it may be the first and last “Ferdinand “ sculpt I can ever get my hands on. He was an absolute pleasure to create.
