Darren's skintone was achieved by painting many thin layers of Genesis heat-set paints. He has a mottled newborn complexion. All of his cute little fingers, toes, and sweet spots have been lovingly blushed.
Darren also has the finest grey-blue glass eyes, hand blown in Lauscha, Germany. They seem to actually follow you around the room.
Darren features a head of incredible soft alpaca fiber in a gorgeous multi-hued light brown. His hair is rooted in a natural growth pattern. Nothing feels as close to the texture of real baby hair as alpaca.
Darren weighs approximately 5lbs and is approx 17 in long. He was weighted using high quality fine glass beads. Each of his limbs is weighted evenly. His head must be supported just like a real baby's.
The utmost attention was paid to Darren's details: moisture glistens on his closed eyes, on his little nose and on his sweetly parted lips. Darren's finger and toenails have been realistically shaded and satin glossed. Darren arrives in a one-of-a-kind, handmade Grandmother's receiving blanket and an adorable preemie sleeper.
