The Tanner drink-and-wet baby is very unique. He cries. Yes, there is a cry mechanism in his back with a Velcro closing to change batteries. It is that sweet and special newborn cry. There is an on/off switch also so that he doesn’t cry continually and keep you up at night. And yet, he is a drink-and-wet baby as well because he has a ¾ vinyl torso to accommodate the battery box in his back and also provide the vinyl surface and anatomically correct body needed for his water works. He comes with a specially made bottle with a tube that fits into his mouth perfectly. It looks funny until it is inserted and then looks just like a baby drinking his bottle. He can drink colored water to look like juice or faux formula made from distilled water and sunscreen. This is the only formula that has been tested and proven not to clog the narrow tubing that provides his internal “plumbing.” Due to his unique construction, Tanner’s legs do not move. Trying to move them may damage the doll. His curled legs are posed into a natural position for both reclining and cuddling as a newborn. His arms are moveable and so is his head if turned gently and no more than naturally sideways. Do not twist the head. Tanner was rooted with soft Delta Dawn dark mohair. He was painted with artist quality acrylic paints and double sealed to preserve both color and durability. He weighs almost 4 pounds and is 19 inches long with curled legs. The crying mechanism takes up considerable room and does not allow for more weighting material inside. His eyelashes and eyebrows are also hand rooted and sealed inside to prevent loss with gentle handling. Tanner comes home with his special bottle and pacifier (which attaches using putty also included). Due to his open mouth and tubing he cannot use magnets. Also included are several extra diapers, 2 onesies, a pacifier clip, and a blanket. He wears Newborn size clothing and diapers.
