Kimber's Kozy Carriers
I returned home from the Kansas Doll show at the end of the summer and got busy making new carriers. Thank you to all who stopped by my table over the Labor Day Weekend in Kansas.
It was great to be at the Rose Expo Doll Show at the end of May. I enjoyed helping folks find the right carrier for their baby dolls.
I have made a NEW, smaller carrier designed just for "smaller" dolly mommies. These will fit our daughters and their smaller sized dolls much better than my original Large sized carrier.
Kimber’s Kozy Carriers
Soft fleece fabric cocoons for your baby doll. The bottom of the carrier has “boning” to give the
doll support when wearing the carrier. At the opening, elastic is encased in satin bias tape to give that snuggley, cocoon look. The shoulder straps are made of cotton with a set of “O” rings securely stitched at one end to allow for adjusting the length of the straps.
The shoulder straps are attached on the inside of the carrier so that they may be tucked inside, under the doll when you want to set the doll down and display it.
Features of my carriers:
1. 3 DIFFERENT SIZES: small approx. 13”-15”, medium approx. 17”-19” and ex-large approx. 20”-21” in length
2. the base color of the fabric (not the color of the items, ie.- yellow Lady Bugs means that the background color of the fabric is yellow, but the Lady Bugs are red, OR yellow Lambs has
yellow background while the lambs are white and gray.
3. the trim color refers to the color of the satin blanket border which encases the elastic.
4. the straps- usually made of cotton fabric, thus is cooler when wearing the carrier, but I use different colors, ie. White, off-white, cream, ecru so that the straps will match the overall coloring of the carrier better.
5. The O-rings vary in color as well: silver, brass or a gold color fitting the overall coloring of the carrier.
6. I have sewn-in two rows of "stabilizer" on the bottom to support the baby doll

You can also use the carrier like a hammock in your nursery!
