There is a story.
I have been making therapy dolls for a while. I also make film and television props and reborn collectable babies. I usually sell my therapy babies privately by referral or word of mouth. I mostly make them for kids on the spectrum. Over the last couple years I have developed a weighted body that comforts kids while they sleep. It has had a few incarnations but this seems to be the right size and weight and fabric that most of my kids like.
While painting some pretty heads I had (that I intended on turning into traditional cuddle babies) I got this idea to use these babies to introduce my Cocoon Comfort Babies to my friends and clients here who collect my work..
This is not a reborn doll, it does not have limbs, this particular series of babies are all painted fantasy some have horns, There are seven in this series.
The body on this baby is made with a type of fleece that stays naturally warm and soft. It is filled with softy poly and micro glass beads for weight. This baby fits on your chest at night and is a really awesome cuddle in your arms.
You can not dress this baby but you can change out the blanket for the season, an occasion, or to simply wash it. A few of the babies come with fleece pixie hats that can be removed easily.

Babies have been painted in layers of Genesis heat set paint and sealed. They are top rooted with mohair and are magnetized and will come home with their nursery Paci.

This type of doll was designed for to be a therapy doll for comfort, not a play thing for a baby or child or someone who would not be able to move the baby away from their face on their own.
These particular series of fantasy dolls were not made specifically for therapy but as a fun way for collectors to enjoy them. I will be making traditional newborn therapy dolls at a later date and list them.
They will need care and gentle handling, hair can be brushed. I do not magnetize my therapy babies normally but I did magnetize these, please be careful with strong magnets around medical equipment or anyone who has an implanted medical device like a shunt, or pacemaker.
Because I consider these personal items I do not do refunds. Please be sure you have read the details and understand what kind of baby you are getting.
These babies will come with a magnetized Paci, paci holder, blanket, hat if photographed with one.
I do not do holds or payment plans.
These babies range from 17-20 inches.
