This listing is for baby Huxley created from the limited edition “Princess Huxley” sculpt by Andrea Arcello. I painted this version of Huxley for my personal collection. I love her, but I have some other projects and need the space.
Huxley has a cloth body with full vinyl limbs. She is about 22” with slightly bent legs and weighs about 6 pounds. I have weighted her with enclosed fine glass beads and poly-fil . You can turn her head and limbs for posing and she will sit up with some support.
I took pictures at various times of the day in different places to try to capture how she looks in different lighting, so you will see some differences in skin tone in my pictures. She has a fair roses and cream complexion which was created using Ultimate Fusion. I shaded thin skin areas and added veining and other details to give her a lifelike appearance. Her nails have painted tips and have been sealed. She has light brown painted hair. Her eyes are medium brown glass blown by someone who retired. These are my last set like this and I cannot get more- so she is special.
Her eyes are framed with applied (glued) upper lashes and painted lower lashes. Her brows are lightly painted so they are barely there. I have sealed her vinyl to protect the paint with a soft varnish, so she still feels smooth and added gloss in places typically moist. She has a strong magnet inside for her pacifier and should be kept away from sensitive electronic devices such as pacemaker.
Please be aware that there were some flaws in the vinyl of nearly all Huxley kits. This includes two slightly rough spots in the vinyl on her head- you can barely see it with this kit. There also is a little vinyl tag up inside the nostril from the molding of the vinyl. Again this is not something easily noticed. While not flaws in the reborning, they are there and if I were a buyer I would want to know. If these are not issues you can live with, please pass her up.
She will come with her certificate of authenticity, art studio birth certificate, care instructions, magnetic pacifier, popsicle sleep and playsuit with matching headband , vintage 1930’s cotton dress which is clean and in nice shape, her floral print romper, some hand crafted headbands, along with a diaper, and a muslin swaddle blanket. The glass bottle and other items are props and are NOT included.
Please note that she is an art doll, not a child’s toy or meant for extended play. She is neither intended for, nor safe for children.
