This listing is for the adorable Sam sculpt by Marissa May which I have dressed sort of gender neutral, but am sending with a more girl-like blanket and accessories. Sam is not a limited edition (though sold-out at the moment) and I bought several kits a few years ago to try new techniques and products on. I actually started Sam a few years ago and had to set aside to work on other projects. I decided to finish her up and offer her as a boo boo baby because The hairstyle did not turn out exactly as I planned and the finger tips especially on one hand did not take paint evenly (please see the third picture of her hands which is the open hand.
Sam has vinyl ¾ limbs and a cloth body. She is on a jointed body- so is kind of floppy- weighted with enclosed glass beads and poly-fil. She is about 20” and 4.4 pounds. Her head will need support just like a real baby. She can wear newborn and some smaller 0-3 months. She has a strong magnet inside for her pacifier and should be kept away from sensitive electronic devices such as pacemaker. Sam has an open mouth which can make magnetic pacifiers a little tricky, but I do NOT suggest using a modified or putty pacifier as it can damage the lip paint and cause wear. Included is the newborn NUK pacifier pictured- 6-12 months size would fit a little better because of the magnet placement in her mouth.
She was painted with Ultimate Fusion paints in a fair skin tone and sealed with a blend of Genesis Heats Set varnish which leaves a slight dewy finish and texture- so you can feel this especially on her hair. A slight gloss was added to areas typically moist. Her nails were tipped and sealed. She has dark brown painted hair and painted brows. Her eyelashes are rooted mohair sealed on the inside.
She will come with her art studio birth certificate, care instructions, magnetic pacifier, sleep/playsuit, a diaper, the heart pattern receiving blanket, and the headbands pictured. Other items are props and are NOT included.
