This listing is for the adorable Sam sculpt by Marissa May which I have dressed sort of gender neutral, but am sending with a more girl-like blanket and accessories. Sam is not a limited edition (though sold-out at the moment) and I bought several kits a few years ago to try new techniques and products on. I actually started Sam a few years ago and had to set aside to work on other projects. I decided to finish her up and offer her as a boo boo baby because she is not perfect. Even so she is cute- and I am rather happy with her blonde hair which is much harder to achieve depth with than brown. I have sold a few other versions and she is the last one.
Sam has vinyl ¾ limbs and a cloth body. She is on a jointed body- so is kind of floppy- weighted with enclosed glass beads and poly-fil. She is about 20” and 5 pounds. Her head will need support just like a real baby. She can wear newborn and some smaller 0-3 months. She has a strong magnet inside for her pacifier and should be kept away from sensitive electronic devices such as pacemaker.
She was painted with Ultimate Fusion paints in a fair skin tone and sealed with a blend of Genesis Heats Set varnish which leaves a slight dewy finish and slight texture. A subtle gloss was added to areas typically moist. Her nails were tipped and sealed. She has blonde painted hair and painted brows. Her eyelashes are rooted mohair sealed on the inside.
She will come with her art studio birth certificate, care instructions, magnetic pacifier, sleep/playsuit, a diaper, the a receiving blanket, and the headband pictured. Other items are props and are NOT included.
