I am so happy to introduce my version of Charlotte 11 months by Laura Lee Eagles. Her coloring is inspired by Victorian era paintings of babies. I sought to recreate that style in a 3D form and I am pleased with how she turned out. She was painted with Ultimate Fusion paints and has an ivory skin tone with soft rosey cheeks- you see veining and undertones, but it is all soft and blended. I did take photos over the course of several days, so you will see subtle differences in color.
Her hair and eye brows are painted medium and dark brown. She has applied upper lashes, painted lower lashes, and dark brown Eyeco eyes. Her paint work has been sealed mostly with Soft Touch varnish so it feels velvety smooth. The exception to this is her hands and feet. These areas can develop shine so I used matte varnish there and this leaves a slight rough texture. I added some subtle shine to her nails, lips, and other areas typically moist.
Charlotte is a big girl weighing about 8 pounds and 25” long. She is weighted with glass beads and polly-fil in a manner that enables her to sit up like an older baby. Her legs and arms are not overly weighted so that they hold position nicely. She has full limbs and a cloth body. She has a strong magnet inside for her pacifier and should be kept away from sensitive electronic devices such as pacemakers.
Charlotte will come with the silk coat and bonnet- this set is over 120 years old and in very nice condition. The coat fits lovely- the bonnet is a little snug- but looks cute for display. You can tie the ribbons- I just did not. She will also come with vintage booties as well as the new sleep and play set with the matching headband, a handcrafted flower headband, diaper, magnetic pacifier,blanket (not pictured), studio certificate, care instructions, and certificate of authenticity- she is part of the limited first edition. For clothing she can wear some larger 6-9 months, but 12 months is best to prevent stress to limbs or risk of pulling her lashes loose.
