Lana - Sculpted by Petra Seiffert - Reborn by Jennifer Carrigan (Maryland, USA) on 4/26/21 - Soft German vinyl kit from Nicky Creations - Kit purchased from MacPherson Crafts - 18” doll (with bent legs at the knees) representing a 20” long baby - Wears newborn sized clothes - small newborn is best fit - 3.6 lbs - Head circumference is 12.5” - Painted and sealed/varnished with Genesis Heat Set Paints. 2 layers of satin varnish, 1 layer of air dry matte varnish. - Only minor skin texturing. - A pretty baby 1-2 months old is how I envisioned her. No stork bite, birth marks, rashes, blemishes, scratches, lanugo, dry skin or milia. Does have tipped nails, half moons, light mottling, veins, capillaries, blue shading, blushing and barely there painted brows. - Her skin tone is called Baby Flesh, a mixture sold by Bountiful Baby. - Combi hair - both painted and then also directionally rooted on the crown for added realism and to allow for some hair styling options. - Micro rooted hair (1-3 hairs per plug) with Delta Dawn Premium Mohair (Michigan) in Baby Brown color and sealed with waterproof Gem-Tac glue from inside the head. - Applied upper lashes for ease of repair if ever needed. - Handmade 20mm weighted flat back human glass eyes in the color Blue from Lauscha, Germany. - Hair accessory magnet and a high powered pacifier magnet are installed using E-6000 and Gem-Tac glues. - I am a new artist following Bountiful Baby and Custom Doll Baby tutorials by the book. Lana is my #2. (Second Reborn that I have made) - All new materials were used with a NuWave oven and Bob Ross odorless paint thinner. - Weighted with glass micro beads in double layers of new nylon stockings. - 3 different types and feels of poly-fil were used to construct a realistic feel to the body, the outer layer is with the softest Angel Silk brand poly-fil. - I made and weighted her to represent a baby gaining a little bit of head control skills at her age, she isn’t totally floppy like a newborn but there is some tiring baby head wobbling. I weighted her to be pose-able and cuddly over being heavy and firmer. - She has glazing on her nails, lips, deep inside her ears, and deep up in her nostrils for a realistic wet and/or shiny look. I also gave her a teensy bit of a wet look from baby tears around and under her eyes. Also a slight blushing above her eyes to give a slightly puffy n red from a ‘just having cried’ look. - Her limbs are 3/4 limbs and attach to her body via jointed discs that are screwed together and can be loosened or tightened to your personal preference. I chose them to move with only a little friction to prolong the life of the doe suede body and to make her a bit easier to dress. - Her doe suede body has a gathered bum and chest. - She has weighting in her limbs, her bum, and in her head. The head has slightly more weight balanced toward her face to tip her head forward. - I am including 6 zip ties in case you want to remove and then reattach her head and/or limbs in order to have access to reweigh her body or adjust her joint tensions.
- Price includes a baby shower box opening including new blanket, lovey toy, magnetic pacifier, magnetic hair accessories, Next brand (UK) onesie, hat, bib, sleeper and some fun surprises.
- This very rarely seen vinyl kit/sculpt is an open edition from 2014 and not sold with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). It does have a stamp molded into the vinyl at the back of the neck/base and I am including the invoice from when I bought it to further prove that it is an authentic kit. - Will come with care instructions and a photo style birth certificate.
