Dakota was created from the Londyn kit sculpted by Denise Pratt. She is 19 inches long and weighs 5 lbs 3 ounces. She is an art doll that took many hours to create. To create her life like skin I painted her with many layers of genesis heat set paints, with layers including foundation, veining, blue and purple tones, differents layers of mottling colors, blushing, creases, color washes, eye brows, details including millia, capillaries, a little (painted) scratch on her left cheek, strawberry birthmark on scalp, halfmoons/nail tips and a final baked on layer of a mix of matte varnish, mona lisa thinner, flesh 08 and a tiny bit of warm blush. I directionally rooted her hair using premium soft blonde kid mohair and it's glued on the inside of her head. I rooted Dakota's blonde mohair lashes and glued them. Her body is a doe suede cloth body. Her limbs are weighted with fine glass beads up to her knees and elbows and then poly pellets and polyfil and then capped off with a plastic disc and E6000 glue applied to seal it all. Her body is weighted and stuffed with glass bead sacks, polyfil and some babypowder scented wafer pieces. Her head is weighted with a fine glass bead sack and polyfil and also capped off and glued. Dakota's head also has a strong magnet glued behind her lips for the magnetic pacifier that I made for her. Due to the magnet in her head please use caution around ICD devices, pacemakers and other devices similar. Dakota will come with her favorite toy (plush chick) magnetic pacifier, a few diapers, one pair of socks, baby T Shirt, a Gerber onsie, Carters bodysuit, baby hair brush and her birth certificate. I put my artist signature on one of her butt cheeks on her cloth body. She will also come with an info and care sheet. She wears newborn size clothing.
