Skin Tones~ Many thin layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints have been individually heat set for each layer to build up a realistic fair baby toned skin with translucent undertones and faint veining. Also present are slightly blue undertones where the skin appears to be naturally thinner. Mottling is visible to give a newborn blotchy look. All Creases have been highlighted and shaded. Nails are painted with delicate features and nicely manicured. The skin is sealed with a matte varnish and texturized. A small blotchy area on the thumb knuckle can be seen in photos. This became more visible with each painted layer. Not sure why it showed up but I wanted to mention it. Hair~ The hair and lashes are hand rooted with premium mohair in honey blonde and sealed from the inside so it can be gently styled with water spritzed onto a soft bristle baby brush. The eye brows are hand painted with two hues. There is a magnet inside the head to hold a magnetic hair bow. She will come home with a blue flower hair accessory. Weighing & Filling~ Lilia has a tan non-jointed body filled with a combination of premium glass beads and a high quality fiber fill to give a realistic weight and feel. The limbs have been appropriately balanced and weighted with micro fine premium glass beads and topped with fiber fill. The head is weighted with premium glass beads and surrounded with fiber fill. The head will need to be supported, just like a real baby. On the inside of Lilia's mouth is a magnet fitted to hold the pacifier in place. Be aware of this when this doll is around those with pacemakers. *Read* Her cheeks are nice and plump making certain magnetic pacifiers hard to reach the lips. Honey Bug pacifiers seem to work well. You can find this brand online. She will come home with a modified pacifier which is not magnetized but is specifically cut to fit her little mouth opening.

I describe and photograph my dolls as best as possible. Photos are taken in natural light during different times of day. This doll is art and like all handmade unique works of art, she may have her own little imperfections here and there. Her noticeable imperfection being the thumb knuckle blotch. We will just call it a little baby rash ;)
