βοΈ Meet Axel! He's a big happy baby that I created from the Ladybug reborn kit sculpted by Donna RuBert. He weighs 9 lbs 5 ozs and is 26 inches long.
π Axel is an art doll that took many hours to create, he has realistic life like looking skin that I painted with many layers of genesis heat set paints, with layers including foundation, veins, mottling, other various details, color washes, eye brows. flesh layers etc. I applied on a final matte varnish layer and baked several times to make sure it is cured.
π Axel has rooted upper and lower long dark lashes and deep blue glass eyes, his eyes were handcrafted in Lauscha, Germany and are solid flat back. His cloth body has 3/4 arms and 3/4 legs. His limbs are weighted with fine glass beads and then stuffed with polyfil and I capped them off with a plastic disc and E6000 glue. His body is weighted and stuffed with fine glass bead sacks and polyfil. His head is weighted with a fine glass bead sack and then stuffed with polyfil and also capped off with a plastic disc and glued with E6000 glue. His head also has a strong magnet glued behind his lips inside his head for his magnetic pacifier that I made for him. Due to the magnet in his head please use caution around ICD devices, pacemakers and other devices similar.
π Axel will come with his favorite dump truck toy, magnetic pacifier, tattoo sleeve bodysuit, denim jeans, gray Gerber Onesie, yellow teddy bear onesie, graphic T-shirt, camouflage sweatpants, two pairs of socks, striped hat, a few diapers, baby hair brush, birth certificate and info & care sheet. * Other items used in photos are props and are not included. I put my artist signature on one of his butt cheeks on his cloth body. He wears 6-9 month sized clothing but I think he could also wear 9-12mo. size.
